  1. Test a physical gag with no dialogue. This tells you what the room is willing to give you for free.
  2. Follow with one short spoken line. This tells you whether they are listening or just watching.
  3. Watch teacher reaction speed, not just student volume. The teachers are the real barometer. Kids will laugh at almost anything. Teachers will only relax if they trust you, and if the teachers are tense, the room has a ceiling you cannot break through.

If teachers smile quickly, I can run a wider sequence. If teachers stay cautious, I trim transitions and stay cleaner. Either way, those ninety seconds are the only market research that matters.
